First and foremost, I am the proud mother of two amazing individuals. I am also a personal trainer, an entrepreneur, an accomplished athlete and a trained chef. I moved to the Bay Area in 1999 from New Orleans, where I was born and raised. Upon arrival in the Bay Area, I pursued a career in fitness and health at Club One. I began to climb the ladder quickly and learned about training for endurance events, nutrition, and the importance of establishing and reaching athletic goals. I have competed in triathlon, running and cycling events. After many years at Club One, I co-founded CRUfit, a family-owned gym in Oakland’s Montclair District, in 2013. At CRUfit, I have honed my skills as both a group fitness leader and personal trainer. Over time, I expanded my endurance training and racing to include Spartan and trail running. Through my training for events, I have become a stronger athlete, competitor and mother. I have a better understanding of training theory and practice, and my passion for health and fitness has grown. My personal journey has inspired me to help women find confidence, health and happiness through a goal-driven, holistic approach to fitness.
Jennifer Adams
Yoga Instructor and Coach
Jennifer is an experienced and dedicated yoga instructor who embodies the profound message of "Practice, Practice, All is Coming." by Sri Pattabhi Jois. With a deep passion for yoga and its transformative power, she creates an inclusive and welcoming space for students from all backgrounds. Jennifer meets her students where they are, honoring their unique bodies and foundations, without judgment.
Drawing upon her expertise, Jennifer integrates yoga therapy, bodywork, and energy work to support individuals on their path. She helps create a solid foundation for their practice, fostering growth in body, mind, and emotions. In her classes, she skillfully blends Vinyasa flow, mudra, mantra, breathwork, and precise pose alignment. Jennifer provides adjustments and assists with joy, infusing the space with love and authenticity.
Her intention as a yoga instructor is to empower students, reminding them of their inner strength and resilience. Through consistent practice, Jennifer witnesses their transformation, cultivating self-love, acceptance, and an open heart. Together, they create an environment where authenticity thrives, allowing each student to express their true selves and embark on a beautiful journey of self-discovery.
